BigToneMusicBrewery (BTMB) is the sister company of www.buildyourownclone.com.  BigToneMusicBrewery production and design was put on hold in 2004 when demand for BuildYourOwnClone (BYOC) products became too great to continue running both businesses.  They now have a new focus and direction, and lots of ideas that we're very excited about.  BTMB is a labor of love for Keith and crew and they just could not keep it on the backburner any longer.  

At Build Your Own Clone, the goal is to create simple to build kits of all the essential and "standard" FX circuits that are must haves for guitar players.  Having the experience of BYOC in their corner has given BTMB a fresh new outlook on guitar FX design.  Working with thousands of beginners to help them build and modify their ideal pedals has helped them approach FX design in a completely different way and to better see things from the customer's point of view.  BYOC also requires them to have such an intimate knowledge of so many different vintage circuits, they not only have a firm foundation of knowing what good tone is and how to get it, but they also have an insight into what already exists...and more importantly, what doesn't exist but should.
   
At BigToneMusicBrewery, the goal is to create new and exciting FX pedals that are simple to use and different from everything else out there.  They aren't going to produce 20 different versions of modified tube screamers and fuzz faces.  They aren't going to try to make weird "original" noise makers just for the sake of being original.  They know good tone and they know what's lacking in the world of guitar FX.  Their mission is to fill that gap.

Guitar Electronics

I have wanted to add a great Power supply to the line-up for awhile and many of my customers raved about this unit.

Guitarists and bassists use a lot of different effect pedals, analog as well as modern digital effects. Most of the effect pedals need 9V batteries, which are expensive and don't last long.  An adapter is a common solution and a good alternative. However using several effect pedals together will result in a jumble of cables.  Next to that a hum free adapter is expensive and may power only a few effect pedals. Although most pedals need 9V the number of pedals that use 12 or 18V and draw higher currents is increasing. For that reason you need special adapters.

Burkey noticed these problems and invented a solution: one central power supply that serves almost every effect pedal in the world.

Chicago Iron has painstakingly re-engineered the famous 1970's Tycobrahe Parapedal circuit with exacting detail and precision. You can tell a Parapedal when you hear one. It is the one with the huge sweep and a phaser-like or synth-like second effect that tracks with the first wah tone.  What makes the  Chicago Iron Parachute Wah pedal extra special is the wide, full frequency sweep and all the other pedals you can mix it with.  Even though the original Tycobrahe Parapedal design is 30 years old, this wah is still ahead of it's time.

Euthymia Electronics

Euthymia Electronics uses new old stock (vintage, but never used) semiconductors needed to create the sounds in the ICBM Fuzz and Crucible Fuzz Ge. They cost more, but we have found no current production semiconductors that work.

Every Euthymia pedal uses only top grade silver Teflon wire.

Every Euthymia pedal uses a fiberglass printed circuit board for best ruggedness and reliability. Most mass-produced effects use phenolic printed circuit boards, which break easily and are difficult to repair.

Every Euthymia pedal is built in a cast aluminum case for maximum ruggedness.

Every control and jack on every Euthymia pedal is solidly mounted on the case, and connected to the circuit via silver Teflon wire.

Ilitch Electronics was formed to bring to the market a new line of Guitar pedals and electronics based on the exclusive MAMP Patent Pending design. This new concept design gives guitarists superior tone and better control of their tone.

                       

For the past 25 years, the company co-founder and principal electronic design engineer - Ilitch Chiliachki has been designing and building limited edition guitar effect pedals and custom electronic units sold direct to guitarists. The Dyna Dist Overdrive series is the first line of pedals using the exclusive MAMP Patent Pending design. MAMP is a new, all analog design for controlled overdriving and distorting of signals, without losing the signal's individual harmonic components and their time relation and phase shifting. The result is an overdriven/distorted output signal that contains all original signal components from the instrument.
